Held on Thursday, February 25 at 2pm AEDT. In February’s webinar, we heard from councils and experts leading the way in managing and protecting our precious coastlines. We heard from one council who have already completed their Coastal Hazard Adaption Strategy and are now experiencing the implementation part of the journey as well as an expert consultant who assisted many QLD and NSW councils in the creation and implementation of their plans.
Presenters were:
- Dwayne Honor – Branch Manager of Engineering Services at Bundaberg Regional Council
- Dr Elisa Zavadil – a coastal adaptation specialist, and in recent years has assisted many QLD and NSW coastal councils in the progression of their coastal hazard adaptation strategies. Elisa is currently with the Victorian State Government working on coastal policy and adaptation programs.
