The Insurance Council of Australia is releasing a series of climate impact reports focusing on how climate change is increasing the intensity and frequency of extreme weather events and the urgent action needed to build a national picture of these risks and how to mitigate them to protect communities.
Held on Tuesday the 7th of December 2021 at 2pm AEDT, we deep dived into the ICA’s Actions of the Sea and Future Risk report and the implications for local governments, and what this means for Australian homes. We were joined by leading experts in the field who helped develop the reports.
Speakers:
– David Taylor, Baird Australia. David is a Principal and Director with Baird and has over 18-years international experience in coastal hazard and management studies, and the planning and design of coastal and ocean infrastructure
– Alix Pearce, Insurance Council of Australia. Alix leads the Insurance Council of Australia’s climate action work. Previously she led the Campaigns team at the Climate Council and founded the Cities Power Partnership.
