The City of Sydney’s Renewable Energy Master Plan outlines how 100% of the City’s electricity, heating and cooling can come from renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind and energy from waste, by 2030. It is an example for a concerted effort by a local government to reach ambitious targets and can be used as a blueprint by councils for their own strategy and planning. The website includes the Renewable Energy Masterplan as well as Technical Appendixes and the Environmental Strategy of the City as the overall framework for action.
