Rebecca has been with the Bay of Plenty Regional Council since 2018, and leads a team responsible for plant & fleet, insurance, facilities and corporate sustainability. She oversees the fleet and building operations, fleet optimisation, and decarbonising the fleet to reduce Council’s carbon footprint. BOPRC is aiming to transition all small passenger vehicles to EVs by 2025 and is now transitioning some utility vehicles to hybrid SUVs until there is a suitable EV utility option.

Chau is responsible for leading the E-Mobility team at Origin which is focused on helping customers transition to electric vehicles in the most seamless way possible. The E-Mobility team is developing a suite of holistic solutions for customers to conveniently access EVs as well as smart charging and energy solutions. Chau is also a Director on the Board of the Electric Vehicle Council, which is focused on advocating for supportive government policies to accelerate the development of the EV industry in Australia.
