Speakers:
John Mabb is the Senior Environmental Projects Officer in the Carbon Neutrality, Natural Environment & Sustainability Program, of the Health Environment & Waste Branch, at Logan City Council in Queensland.
John has worked for twenty years across 4 local governments in South East Queensland in climate change adaptation and mitigation. Across mitigation, he has experience in policy and strategy development, carbon accounting and energy management, energy audits, project management, community engagement and advocacy. In adaptation he has worked across topics such as coastal hazards asset identification, risk analysis, science communication, land use planning, as well as climate change impact statements for project development.
Our Afternoon Tea Q&As run for half an hour, every second Thursday at 3pm AEDT, where a speaker presents on a climate topic relevant to local government and then opens the floor for questions and discussion.
