The report from Beyond Zero Emissions and the University’s Melbourne Energy Institute is a large crowd-sourced research project which proposes: energy efficiency retrofits of existing buildings, renewable energy generation on many buildings, and replacing gas appliances with electric appliances. Councils can use the report to inform their strategy, planning and program design. It can help to make the case for a rapid transition to zero net emission buildings. It can be also used for advocacy and education purposes by councils.
