Climate Summit for Local Government

We heard straight from the Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency in Denver, Colorado, where Deputy Director Elizabeth Babcock discussed how subnational climate action is critical to achieving their goals. 

We learnt all about how Denver gained dedicated funding for and constructed a purpose-built office for their climate work, as well as learning about their innovative programs in:

  • Renewable Energy, 
  • Transportation, 
  • Workforce, and more.

Elizabeth Babcock is the Deputy Director for Denver’s Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency. She has over 20 years of experience managing collaborative, transformational projects, including the development of Denver’s climate office and programs under the Climate Protection Fund. Her portfolio includes energy, electrified mobility, building decarbonization, workforce development, environmental justice, and climate adaptation.
