Bryn Hernandez – Senior Asset Optimisation Officer, Lake Macquarie City Council

Bryn is a sustainability leader generating real-world changes in world that is urgently calling for solutions to our emerging problems. He works with people, organisations and technology to deliver changes that are economically and environmentally beneficial and operates from a platform of evidence based decision-making. Bryn brings over 14 years of experience from a wide variety of backgrounds including heavy industry, local government, small business and engineering consultancy. He is passionate about achieving Net Zero and improving the liveability of our cities, communities and natural spaces.

Tani Mitchison – Asset Optimisation Officer, Lake Macquarie City Council

Tani works for Lake Macquarie City Council in the innovation team that uses technology to help people and the environment. She has a background in chemical engineering and this mindset is useful for taking a ‘Systems Thinking’ approach to challenging issues. Tani enjoys solving complex problems and finding innovative solutions with a focus on human centric design.
