This document is the shared commitment by the City of Adelaide and State Government to make Adelaide the world’s first carbon neutral city. The vision statement focuses on energy consumption, the use of renewable energy sources, complemented by on-premise battery energy storage. This sector agreement formalises that collaboration, and sets out the shared vision and priorities for pursuing this goal. It could be used by other councils as an example of a close state government – council partnership to achieve a low carbon economy goal.
