C40’s new series offers mayors and urban policymakers real world examples of climate action, projects and approaches that have already proven successful in our member cities.
The purpose of this Good Practice Guide is to summarise key city strategies to support LEVs for global dissemination, highlighting the success of C40 cities in incentivising LEV uptake to drive carbon emission reductions. Approaches focussed on the following:
- Focus on city fleets
- Provide infrastructure
- Tackle purchasing and technology
- Provide incentives
- Introduce zoning
- Work with partners
- Education and awareness.
