‘Community-Led Climate Emergency Response Plan and Council’s role’
Join us for afternoon tea at 3pm AEST Thursday 9th June as we hear from Rebecca Petit-Bramwell from the Borough of Queenscliffe. Rebecca will take us through the process of a community-led CERP, the role council played in this and the lesson’s learned along the way.
Rebecca has worked in Sustainability for twenty years. She began in Outdoor Education and moved into working in Sustainability with Local Government. She has over a decade of experience in the Local Government sector. She has worked for Nillumbik, Darebin, Banyule and Whittlesea Councils. Over her career she has also performed sustainability roles for NGO’s such as the Australian Conservation Foundation, Landcare, the Bellarine Catchment Network and in the tertiary sector at Deakin University. Rebecca is currently the Climate Officer for the Borough of Queenscliffe. She has a BA in Outdoor Education from La Trobe, and a Masters of Environment and Planning from RMIT.
