On Thursday 3rd August we heard from Bundaberg Shire Council as they discussed their ‘Towards Net Zero Bundaberg’.
Bundaberg’s Executive Director of Strategic Projects and Economic Development, Ben Artup will provide an overview of the journey of its preparation and some of the business and community initiatives that are shaping its delivery.
These include:
- The Bundaberg carbon offset program
- An emissions modelling tool
- An industry cluster initiative
- Community education

Ben Artup is an economist with 20 years’ experience in local economic development spanning roles in local government, commercial advisory, and research. Ben currently leads the Strategic Projects and Economic Development team at Bundaberg Regional Council who were involved in preparing Councils, Towards Net Zero Bundaberg Strategy.
