Join us for afternoon tea at 3pm AEST Thursday 13 April as we hear from Suze Dunford, Manager of Sustainability and Resilience at Waverley Council talk to us about 3 projects that are helping to embed future thinking across Council’s controls, urban greening and youth empowerment work

These include:

  • Modelling future climate to better understand residential design requirements for future resilience
  • Building SkyParks on a local Westfield shopping centre to reduce urban heat and foster connection to nature
  • Hosting intergenerational conversations to localise climate change responses and activate actions

Suze Dunford, Manager Sustainability and Resilience, Waverley Council NSW

Suze manages the Sustainability and Resilience team in the Waverley Environmental Sustainability Department, overseeing water conservation and quality, net zero emissions for Council and Community, and planning and responding to climate risks. She has over 20 years’ experience in environmental sustainability in both State and Local government.

Our Afternoon Tea Q&As run for half an hour, every second Thursday at 3pm AEST, where a speaker presents on a climate topic relevant to local government and then opens the floor for questions and discussion. Join us!
