You can get a lot done in just two years. The Cities Power Partnership celebrated its second birthday and what an incredible couple of years of local climate action it was.

We’ve grown to become Australia’s largest local government climate alliance, with councils ranging from the largest cities through to tiny rural shires joining forces to tackle climate change from the grassroots up.

The celebration was time to champion the achievements of our members.

With speakers including Professor Tim Flannery, attendees met fellow council trailblazers, heard from inspiring climate leaders and celebrated all we had accomplished on climate and energy over the program’s two years.

We also held the presentation ceremony for our annual Cities Power Partnership Awards.

The awards recognise the country’s best climate and renewable energy projects and community engagement strategies. Find out who took home top honours here.
