IPCC Report: Special briefing for local government

24 Aug 2021
3:00pm - 4:00pm
Online via Zoom

In our August webinar, we’ll hear Climate Councillor Prof. Lesley Hughes give a presentation to our member councils that unpacks the findings of the latest IPCC report and what it means for local government.

On the 9th of August, 2021 the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its latest report, which is a comprehensive assessment of the physical science of climate change.

The report is years in the making and draws from a new generation of highly advanced climate models and scenarios which finds that the situation is critical, but the report also shows that we can avoid a future of truly catastrophic warming – if we act now.

This webinar will leave plenty of time at the end for questions and discussion.

Join us on Tuesday the 24th of August at 3pm AEST via Zoom. Please note that this is Australian Eastern Standard Time, meaning that SA, NT and WA will need to log on earlier.

CPP member councils only can register through Eventbrite here.

Contact Elizabeth at [email protected] for any questions.
