Afternoon Tea Q&A – City of Melville’s Climate Action Reference Group, WA

28 Sep 2023
3:00pm - 3:30pm
Join us on Zoom

Join us for afternoon tea at 3pm AEST Thursday 28th September as we hear from the City of Melville in WA as they discuss the innovative approach they’re taking to tackle climate change by working alongside their community

In 2022, Melville established the Climate Action Reference Group (CARG) made up of passionate community members, which has been meeting monthly over a 12 month period to discuss their ideas on reducing carbon emissions and also contributing to the City’s Climate Action Plan.

CARG members have been working with the Council to support local communities and businesses to increase their climate resilience and promote innovative ideas to solve the climate crisis.

Join us to learn more about:

  • How and why the CARG was set up
  • How the monthly meetings were conducted and what the foci was
  • How the project and recommendations from the CARG will inform the writing of the community Climate Action Plan, and
  • The many lessons learned along the way!

Our Afternoon Tea Q&As run for half an hour, every second Thursday at 3pm AEST. We’d love for our member councils to join us!
