Afternoon Tea Q&A – National Campaign: Communicating electrification to households with Donna Luckman, Merri-bek City Council

30 Mar 2023
3:00pm - 3:30pm

Join us for afternoon tea at 3pm AEDT Thursday 30 March as we hear from Donna Luckman at Merri-bek City Council as she gives us an exciting update on the next phase following the Electrify Everything campaign that was launched in 2021.

After releasing its Electrify Everything: Communications Message Guide for Households, Merri-bek Council and the Northern Alliance of Greenhouse Action have been hosting a Community of Practice with over 100 local council officers focused on communicating the importance of electrification.

The Community of Practice is rolling out a national communications campaign to amplify the message by using the collective impact of councils around Australia by using the same messaging at the same time to promote electrification.

  • Hear how you can take part in the national campaign
  • Hear of Merri-bek’s experience in communicating electrification to households.

Together we can raise awareness that electric appliances are healthier, cheaper to run, and better for the environment than gas.

Our Afternoon Tea Q&As run for half an hour, every second Thursday at 3pm AEDT, where a speaker presents on a climate topic relevant to local government and then opens the floor for questions and discussion. Join us!
