16 Feb 2023
3:00pm - 3:30pm

Join us for afternoon tea at 3pm AEDT Thursday 16 February as we hear from the City of Logan in Queensland walk us through their journey of achieving their recent Carbon Neutral certification.

As only the second council in Queensland to achieve this milestone (behind Brisbane), the four year journey by Logan City Council is underpinned by strategies, policies, leadership and action.

Join us to hear about:

  • The steps towards certification
  • Components of the public disclosure statement
  • Ongoing commitment to reduce emissions and offset residual emissions
  • Lessons learned along the way

Our Afternoon Tea Q&As run for half an hour, every second Thursday at 3pm AEDT, where a speaker presents on a climate topic relevant to local government and then opens the floor for questions and discussion. Join us!

A calendar invite to accept will be sent out to Council Connect users, but if you don’t have access to Council Connect please register below to receive the meeting link.
