Welcome to the fifth annual Climate Awards.

As Australia’s largest local government climate alliance we are looking forward to once again recognising outstanding council-led initiatives from around the country, and celebrating the achievements of our members.

We are especially excited in 2023 to celebrate in-person at the State Library in Melbourne, as part of the Climate Summit for Local Government.

What you need to know

This year, there are TEN Climate Awards up for grabs.

New in 2023 is the Battler Award. This accolade recognises regional or rural councils overcoming significant challenges to deliver local climate wins. Whether it’s a lack of funding, limited resources or difficult external circumstances, we want to celebrate councils doing whatever it takes to act on climate.
