COUNCIL’S PLEDGE PENRITH Council has joined forces with more than 30 councils across Australia under a new initiative to slash emissions and tackle climate change.

The Climate Council’s Cities Power Partnership program aims to transform Australia’s energy future, with hundreds of towns and cities, through councils, becoming local leaders and champions. Mayor John Thain said it gives councils actionable, realistic, and effective methods to encourage clean energy technology.
